Step Inside Kingsley Hall Before It Transforms

A rare opportunity to experience a historic Bristol building before it closes for a multi-million-pound regeneration.

A Building With History

We’re restoring Kingsley Hall, our Grade II* listed home in Bristol’s Old Market, thanks to generous support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Kingsley Hall has long been a place of connection and community, but the building is now deteriorating. This project will preserve its rich heritage while transforming it into a vibrant, welcoming space for young people.

When complete, Kingsley Hall will provide:

🔹Safe, supported accommodation

🔹Training and skill-building opportunities

🔹Trauma-informed support for young people

🔹Pathways into education, employment, and independence

This is a lot more than restoration; it’s about reimagining what this space can be for future generations.

Why This Matters

Youth homelessness is a growing issue, both nationally and here in Bristol.

At 1625 Independent People, we support young people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or leaving care, helping them move from crisis to stability, and from surviving to thriving.

Kingsley Hall will become a one-of-a-kind hub, designed with and for young people, where they can build confidence, develop skills, and create brighter futures.

Join Us: A Special Pre-Redevelopment Visit

Before the building closes for two years, we’re opening the doors for a limited number of guests.

This is your chance to see Kingsley Hall as it is today, and understand the vision for what it will become.

During your visit, you will:

🔹Explore the building and hear its story

🔹See the plans for its transformation

🔹Learn how this project will support young people

🔹Discover how your organisation can get involved in this once in a lifetime project

Whether you’re already working with us or considering a partnership, this is an opportunity to experience our work first-hand and connect with our community.
