Not Everyone Goes Home For Christmas
As the festive season approaches, many of us are filled with excitement and anticipation for the warmth of home and the joy of family gatherings. However, it is important to remember that this is not the reality for everyone. This Giving Tuesday let’s shine a light on the young people in our community who don’t have a place to call home this Christmas. Circumstances beyond their control, such as family breakdowns or other challenges, leave them without the comfort many of us take for granted.
The Youth Homelessness Databank (2023)* reveals a startling statistic: 54% of young people in England said their reason for becoming homeless was because their family or friends were no longer willing or able to accommodate them.
