Better Conversations with DNA- V

A model for helping young people to thrive

Do you want to improve the outcomes for the young people you work with? Are you interested in enhancing your work via practical, effective tools that young people engage with and enjoy? And, do you want to upskill psychologically, and use your new skills to help young people to develop resilience and thrive?

Upcoming DNA-V training

We will be scheduling more DNA-V training very soon. Watch this space for more details….

This course will equip you with vital foundational knowledge of the psychological model DNA-V. It’s designed to support those who work with young people in non-clinical settings, and is beneficial to all practitioners in the statutory and 3rd sector. Reboot West have been pioneering the use of DNA-V with care leavers for over two years, and bring a wealth of expertise to this course.

Better Conversations with DNA-V provides practical tools to help young people consider different aspects of their thinking, and to prioritise what’s important to them. It’s an empowering way to encourage them to review whether they’re moving towards, or away, from what they value.

During this course you will:

  • Learn ‘What is DNA-V?’ Become acquainted with your Discover, Noticer, Advisor and Values

  • Explore your own values and consider the values of young people to guide effective youth working

  • Get to know your own DNA and learn skills for working with DNA and Values of individual young people

  • Introduce the DNA-V Toolkit

  • Explore common emotional and behavioural situations in youth working through the DNA-V toolkit

  • Consider where DNA-V will benefit your service
