Conscients de l'importance de soutenir nos coll\u00e8gues LGBTQ+ et les jeunes dans nos services, nous nous engageons \u00e0 favoriser un environnement inclusif et positif.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Elsie Ridley, membre de notre Peer Queer Group, partage son histoire ci-dessous :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\"Apr\u00e8s l'annonce du meurtre de Brianna Ghey, j'ai assist\u00e9 \u00e0 une veill\u00e9e aux chandelles en son nom, \u00e0 laquelle participaient des centaines d'autres personnes transgenres. Nous avons tous ressenti une telle douleur, une telle col\u00e8re et une telle souffrance, et je ne savais vraiment pas quoi faire de ces sentiments. Quelqu'un a propos\u00e9 un cours d'autod\u00e9fense pour les transgenres, afin que nous puissions nous sentir un peu plus en s\u00e9curit\u00e9, mais aussi avoir un bon exutoire pour certaines de ces \u00e9motions et pouvoir partager nos sentiments et nos pens\u00e9es avec des personnes partageant les m\u00eames id\u00e9es.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Apr\u00e8s avoir suivi un cours de six semaines sur les bases de l'autod\u00e9fense, j'ai \u00e9prouv\u00e9 des sentiments mitig\u00e9s. J'\u00e9tais heureuse de pratiquer un sport\/exercice qui me plaisait enfin, mais incroyablement triste que moi-m\u00eame et d'autres personnes ressentent le besoin d'apprendre \u00e0 se battre, simplement pour se sentir plus en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 la nuit ou seuls. Je n'avais pas non plus l'impression d'en avoir appris assez et j'ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d'essayer d'apprendre un art martial qui met l'accent sur l'utilisation de toutes les parties du corps pour se d\u00e9fendre : le Muay Thai.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>J'\u00e9tais tellement anxieuse \u00e0 l'id\u00e9e d'approcher les gymnases ou les salles d'arts martiaux. J'ai pris ma premi\u00e8re le\u00e7on dans un cours pour femmes non binaires, sans savoir si quelqu'un ferait preuve de discrimination \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard de ma pr\u00e9sence. Cela a fini par \u00eatre l'une des meilleures d\u00e9cisions de ma vie.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Les femmes transgenres \u00e9tant interdites de sport \u00e0 gauche et \u00e0 droite, l'\u00e9poque actuelle est incroyablement effrayante si l'on veut pratiquer un sport, en particulier \u00e0 un niveau o\u00f9 l'on se mesure \u00e0 des personnes de clubs diff\u00e9rents. C'est pourquoi je pense qu'il est si important d'avoir des \u00e9v\u00e9nements inclusifs qui sont jumel\u00e9s en fonction du poids et de l'exp\u00e9rience, plut\u00f4t que du sexe auquel vous \u00eates n\u00e9 (ce qui ne signifie rien).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Je suis \u00e9ternellement reconnaissante d'avoir trouv\u00e9 le groupe dans lequel je suis maintenant, et surtout \u00e0 mon entra\u00eeneur qui me voit comme je suis\".<\/em><\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This February, we&#8217;re proudly celebrating LGBT+ History Month.
