Le 7th<\/sup> En septembre, 120 coll\u00e8gues, b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, anciens \u00e9l\u00e8ves et jeunes se sont r\u00e9unis \u00e0 l'occasion de notre premi\u00e8re conf\u00e9rence des coll\u00e8gues en personne depuis deux ans.<\/p>\n

La conf\u00e9rence, qui s'est tenue au Trinity Arts Centre, a d\u00e9but\u00e9 avec le po\u00e8te et \u00e9ducateur Lawrence Hoo, de Bristol, qui a parl\u00e9 de son parcours : d'un jeune qui a pass\u00e9 son enfance dans le syst\u00e8me de soins \u00e0 une voix cr\u00e9ative pour le changement dans nos communaut\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Les po\u00e8mes et l'histoire de Lawrence \u00e9voquent, \u00e0 travers son exp\u00e9rience personnelle, les risques et les d\u00e9fis auxquels sont confront\u00e9s les jeunes que nos coll\u00e8gues soutiennent chaque jour, ainsi que la valeur de l'exploration du patrimoine pour renforcer les comp\u00e9tences et les talents des jeunes d\u00e9favoris\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Lawrence a parl\u00e9 de l'importance d'explorer et de partager les histoires m\u00e9connues des jeunes et de nos diverses communaut\u00e9s. Les coll\u00e8gues ont \u00e9t\u00e9 inspir\u00e9s et enthousiasm\u00e9s par l'histoire de Lawrence, et par la fa\u00e7on dont son apprentissage du patrimoine, l'\u00e9criture de po\u00e8mes et le fait qu'il soit devenu p\u00e8re ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans sa situation actuelle.<\/p>\n

Lawrence a parl\u00e9 avec \u00e9motion de l'importance d'offrir aux jeunes des opportunit\u00e9s cr\u00e9atives d'explorer le patrimoine afin qu'ils puissent d\u00e9velopper une identit\u00e9 et un avenir positifs.<\/p>\n
