Future Builders

Future Builders - Build, Learn, Thrive

Affordable housing for young people working their way to independence.

With the support of the OVO Foundation, the Future Builders project has turned 5 empty, derelict houses into affordable homes for young people to live in while they build their careers.
We have 15 bed spaces across Bristol where residents can learn to manage their housing, get training and support to improve their career prospects and move on to stable accommodation – everything they need to build an independent positive life.
Step One:
While you’re on the waiting list, you’ll complete short training sessions to prepare you for living independently.
Step Two:
Move in! Rent is under £50 a week – all bills included.
You’ll have regular contact with us to stay on top of everything and make a plan for move on.
Step Three:
Move On! Our aim is for you to leave with a solid career plan and stable housing.
Who can apply for Future Builders?
  • Aged 16-24
  • Affected by homelessness
  • In work, training or with career goals
  • Happy to live in shared accommodation
  • Keen to complete a short training programme before moving in
  • Committed to finishing the Future Builders programme
Don’t need a place to live but still want support with your career plans? We can help!

“It’s great I’ve now got a job and a house but it’s the actual journey which has helped me find confidence in myself. I think if I hadn’t done this I would still be panicking about the future. It’s helped me find myself.”
