'The Kid' bringing that Friday feeling

Monday 8 December 2014

James 'The Kid' Morton is busy crowdfunding in order to deliver an opportunity for our young people to take part in a star fuelled music workshop at the Foyer this Friday 12th December.

Bristol's very own music ambassador, James Morton, is looking to share his musical expertise to engage and inspire budding musicians. All with a little help from some yet-to-be-announced special guests.

At 1625ip, housing is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what we do.  We work with young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to support them to live independently, including through confidence building, life skills and providing the opportunity to try new things in a safe environment.

According to James' fundsurfer page, the idea behind this project is to 'provide a platform for the next generation of musicians, vocalists and producers to be nurtured and mentored by top industry professionals', while 'teaching confidence, team work and focus.'

Want to help him make it happen?

Not only will it give you the warm fuzzy feeling of contributing to an amazing opportunity for our young people to be involved with, there's also some pretty nifty awards up for grabs such as an 80's sax solo performed in your workplace or your own private 40 minute gig.
