Thank you PwC Bristol!

Friday 24 June 2016

The big-hearted staff at PwC in Bristol have raised a fabulous £1,525 for local charity,     1625 Independent People.

PwC has a thriving community engagement programme which includes a focus on raising educational achievement and employability in the communities where they have a presence.

Every quarter, the PwC Bristol team votes for the charity that will benefit from its fundraising for that period. Following an initial nomination by Alice Dale, Senior Associate and member of the PwC Bristol Charity Committee, 1625ip won the staff vote just before Christmas 2015.

The end-of-year timing worked brilliantly as the PwC team undertook a number of different fundraising events, culminating in the Christmas Party Auction and Raffle which is one of the biggest events in the PwC social year.

Alice Dale, PwC Bristol Charity Committee member, commented:
"The PwC Bristol Charity Committee were keen to support 1625 Independent People and the worthwhile projects they deliver across the South West.
Everyone had a fantastic evening raising the money and we hope that our donation will really help make a difference to young people in our area."
The money raised by the PwC Bristol team is part of the charity’s general appeal which is absolutely vital to 1625ip and really does help more young people to reboot their lives.

Thank you Alice and PwC Bristol!
