About us
1625 Independent People is a Bristol based charity, working to prevent youth homelessness. We work with around 2000 young people per year supporting them to develop independent living skills. Our specialist support ranges from preventative services through to supported housing, EET support and specialist support for young people leaving custody, care leavers and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children
Over the last 7 years our Transitions and Resilience team have developed and provided specialist support for some of our most vulnerable young people including care and custody leaves aged 16-25 across Bristol, S. Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset.
The team provides intensive support to vulnerable care experienced young people within  supported accommodation and also has 3 specialist workstreams who work across all our services; DVA/SVA, mental health and reducing reoffending.
What we want
We are looking for an experienced supervisor to offer clinical supervision for the team on a monthly basis to complement existing supervision and reflective practice that is in place. 
About you
Ideally you

  • Clinically trained and qualified and up to date relevant registration (you may be a qualified supervisor and / or psychologist or therapist
  • Are experienced in supervising staff who are supporting young people with complex trauma histories
  • Have experience of working with/managing high levels of risk, including sexual harmful behaviour, gang involvement, CSE, substance use and mental health.
  • Have an understanding of trauma informed working
  • have good understanding of the impact of social inequality on outcomes for young people
