Jamie has been developing and improving services for young homeless people and care leavers since 1994. He led Priority Youth Housing in South Gloucestershire between 2000 and 2009, before being appointed as Service Improvement Director for Independent People covering all of our services in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
Jamie’s current role includes driving continual improvement in the quality of our services, service user involvement and developing new services in response to young people’s needs. Jamie works closely with our partner organisations including local authorities, Connexions West, housing associations and voluntary agencies.
Jamie has been a Board Member of Merlin Housing Society since the transfer of South Gloucestershire’s council housing to Merlin in 2007, and was previously a member of the Shadow Board that prepared for the transfer. Jamie is Chair of Merlin’s Housing and Support Committee, and sits on the South Gloucestershire Teenage Pregnancy Partnership Board. Previously he has worked in the local authority, housing association and charity sectors.
