MAINTENANCE SECTION
Safety checks such as annual gas appliance checks are carried out in all of our properties, in conformance with the law.
However, we also expect service users to respect the property and any contents of the properties, such as furniture in the communal areas etc. Deliberate damage, vandalism or misuse of property is not tolerated and may result in further action.
All repairs and maintenance in properties owned by Independent People, Solon and Knightstone have to be approved by us, given a priority, then contracted out to the relevant people, so you should ALWAYS go through us, rather than going directly to contractors. If you fail to do this, you may end up with the bill for the repair yourself!! The only time it is acceptable to report repairs to someone else is when the office is closed and its and priority 1 emergency (see below). In this instance please call Express on 0117 932 3238 Please bear in mind that we have a limited budget to perform maintenance and repairs per year and only have a small maintenance team! If you live in a property owned by Places for People please report repairs and maintenance to your support worker or if the office is closed to Places for People direct on 0800 432003.
