On Sunday June 12th, staff from
TFT Consultants and Independent People joined forces and took to the waters at Baltic Wharf. The aim of the game was to compete in the Annual Rotary Club of Bristol Breakfast Dragon Boat Race (and to eat some BBQ, sit in the sun and have a giggle)
Our team "It will OAR right on the night" wore passionate purple shirts and rowed like they meant it, they won all their races, coming 11th of around 34. Not enough to secure a place on the podium but good enough for us!
TFT raised over £600 for Independent People. We've said it before and we'll say it again...
We think TFT rock!
A message from Dom Wood - Chief Executive
Thanks to the TFT team and supporters for a fantastic day and for once again raising money for the young homeless people of Bristol and South Gloucestershire and raising the profile of their plight and the services we offer. I am now a bit addicted to Dragon Boat Racing and the plan is for us to enter a boat next year with young people we support rowing.
Great food, great fun, great people thanks
There were some very unlikely looking competitors - Elves, Vikings, The Rotary Club came as animals (two by two) and Scooby Doo even put in an appearance.
